The App Hub is a central place to easily browse, connect, customize, and manage all of your 3rd-party app integrations. With the agile and flexible App Hub, you can view all of your existing connections in one place and add new connections.
The App Hub has a growing list of pre-built integrations that you can seamlessly add and start using in minutes. You can also integrate with a custom app without any additional coding required.
The pre-built integrations are easy to set up and use. To configure an app, simply add an adapter for the app and provide the app level configuration details, such as authentications and permissions. Once the authentication credentials are validated, you can immediately take advantage of these integrations throughout the Blueshift platform.
App Hub basics
What are Apps?
An app is simply a pre-built integration. You can view all the pre-built integrations in Blueshift from Apps > All Apps.
What is an adapter?
An adapter is a way to save the configuration details for integrating Blueshift with an app. Information such as authentications and permissions are saved in an adapter. You can have multiple adapters for any app.
What information is required to configure an adapter?
The information required varies but can include API keys, usernames and passwords, login information, permission for Blueshift to use data, and so on. Specific authentication information varies from app to app.
Can you edit adapters after they are configured?
Yes, you can edit adapters.
Can you archive adapters?
You can archive adapters that are no longer in use. After you archive an adapter, you will not be able to use it in any templates or campaigns.
You cannot archive the adapter that is set as the default adapter for the app.
When you archive an adapter, it is not deleted. It can be seen under the Archived Adapters section for the app in App Hub. If required, you can unarchive an archived adapter and use it.
What are custom apps?
Custom apps are a way for you to connect with the apps that you use and are not supported by Blueshift out of the box. These apps can be a 3rd party application or an in-house app built by your team. You cannot import bulk data or export data in batches with custom apps and they can’t be used for syndication. For custom apps, we support API Key Based, Oauth2, and basic HTTP authentication.
