Azure Synapse is an enterprise analytics service that accelerates time to insight across data warehouses and big data systems. Azure Synapse brings together the best of SQL technologies used in enterprise data warehousing, Spark technologies used for big data, Data Explorer for log and time series analytics, Pipelines for data integration and ETL/ELT, and deep integration with other Azure services such as Power BI, CosmosDB, and AzureMSetting up a Databricks connectionL.
You can import data from Azure Synapse into Blueshift using the Census Reverse ETL platform.
Integration via the Census platform
Census is a Reverse ETL platform that makes it easy to connect your data warehouse into sales, marketing, and other customer facing tools that drive your business. Using Census, you can easily copy data from Azure Synapse into Blueshift.
Using Census you can import the following data into Blueshift:
- Customer data
- Event data (Standard events and Custom events)
To integrate with Blueshift via Census, complete the following steps:
- Set up a data warehouse and data model in Census for the data that you want to import into Blueshift. For more information, see the Census documentation for Setting up a Azure Synapse connection.
- Set up a connection to Blueshift as the destination in Census.
- Create a Sync in Census with Azure Synapse as the source and Blueshift as the destination.
