From the segments index page, you can clone, edit, delete, export, and split segments. You can also view a summary count of all users by channel.

Segment Counts

A summary count of all users by channel is available on the Segment dashboard. This summary data is refreshed on a nightly basis. 

To view segment membership counts for any segment, you must open the individual segment. The segment count for any segment is calculated near real time.

Users

Total unique users (known and unknown) identified by Blueshift

Emailable

Any user who has an email associated with their profile and has not unsubscribed or hard bounced or marked spam.

Push-Enabled

Any user who has ever installed the app and has not opted out of receiving push notifications is counted as 'push enabled'. For each of these users there must be device_token(s) available.

SMS-Enabled

Any user who has a phone number associated with their profile.

In-app-Enabled

Any user who has ever installed the app and has not opted out of receiving in-app messages is counted as 'in-app enabled'.

Segment actions

Use the Segment action menu to clone, delete, export, or archive segments.

Export a segment

You can export the list of members in a segment by clicking the Export option in the Segment action menu. You can also export the list of members in a segment when you edit the segment by clicking Export User List

For recurring exports, use Attribute and Recommendation Syndication.  

Split segments

You can split any dynamic segment into randomized lists and target different campaign variants at different lists. 

To split a segment into lists, complete the following steps:

  1. Locate the segment that you want to split on the Segment index page.
  2. Open the Segment action menu for the segment and click Create lists.

  3. Split the segment into separate lists as required.

  4. Select the number of lists you want to split this segment into.
  5. Add a description for the new list and allocate the percentage split. The total percentage must add up to 100%. 
  6. Click Create Lists.
    You are now redirected to the Customer Data > Lists page where you can see the new lists.
  7. Wait until the list status shows as ready to indicate that processing is completed.

You can now use this list in other segments. You can combine multiple lists in your segment to include/exclude users depending on their list membership.
