Using the Interest Alerts feature, you can store topics that your users are interested in. When an event occurs in an area or topic in which multiple users are interested, you can trigger a single API call to send a notification to all the users who are interested in that topic.
With the Interest Alerts feature, the computing and triggering of events for each user is done automatically based on the topic in the API call you make. Thus, instead of sending an event for each user, you make a single API call.
