Create a live content template

The Templates tab displays a list view of all the existing live content templates in your account. 

To create a live content template, go to Templates > Live content and click +TEMPLATE.

  • Select Visual Template to use the drag and drop design studio to create your live content template.
  • Select HTML Template to create a live content template if you are comfortable with writing HTML code.
  • Select JSON Template to create your live content template in JSON format.

You can edit, clone, remove, or archive an object by clicking on the ellipsis (...) menu on an individual template.

Creative Studio for live content

The live content studio is where you can find all the information about a specific live content template.

You can view the following information from all the tabs:

  • Live content template name
  • Template version and author of that version
  • Live content preview for the selected user (from all the tabs except the Content tab)

You can complete the following actions from all the tabs:

  • Select a preview user.
  • Use template options to clone, copy, export, remove (delete), and archive templates.

Live content Studio tabs

The Live Content Studio contains three tabs for managing and designing live content:

  • Properties
  • Content
  • Data

Properties

This tab contains your template settings like dimensions, tags etc.

Content

The Content tab is where you will design the live content template. Here you will design the template layout and add personalizations and recommendations as required.

Depending on the type of template, you can drag and drop components to create your live content template (Visual Editor) or you can specify the HTML source code using the HTML editor or create your content in JSON structure. 

Data

From the Data tab, you can add data sources that you want to use in your content, for example recommendations, events and transactions. See the preview of a recommendation row below.
