You can stop a launched computed attribute if it's no longer needed. This helps free up your quota for new attributes.
How to stop a computed attribute
You can stop a launched computed attribute in one of the following ways:
- From the index page: Use the Stop option in the hamburger menu of the attribute.
- From the configuration screen: Click the Stop button, which is available for launched attributes.
Stopping prerequisite
Before stopping, you must remove the attribute from any segments, templates, or campaigns where it is being used. A message in the UI will guide you to Data Studio > Customer schema to remove all references.
Note: The Confirm button will remain disabled until all such references are cleared.
What happens after stopping
- The attribute will no longer appear on the customer profile.
- It will be excluded from all dropdowns across Blueshift UI (segments, templates, campaigns, etc.).
- It remains visible on the Computed Attributes index page and, upon viewing, is indicated by the 'Stopped' label.
- You cannot relaunch a stopped attribute.
Audit logging
Audit trails are generated when an attribute is stopped, capturing the username and timestamp.
