When you open the template editor, the Template Assistant interface will appear on your screen and display the welcome message. You can type or use voice commands (prompts) to add elements, apply styles, or personalize content based on dynamic user data.
For example, to adjust the styling of a section, type: "Change the background color to blue and the font to Comic Sans."
The assistant will automatically generate the necessary HTML or CSS to meet your request.
- Apply Changes: Click the Apply Changes button to review and finalize the changes.
- Undo Changes: Use the Undo Changes button to revert any changes made in the assistant.
- Redo Changes: After performing an undo, the Redo Changes button will appear and will be available until the next prompt is given.
The Template Assistant provides quick suggestions, such as "Add a product grid" or "Personalize content," offering one-click solutions for everyday tasks.
Before you get started
To make the most of the Template Assistant, we strongly recommend following these steps before you begin:
- Update the template name: When you open a new template from the AI Assistant Admin page, it's a good practice to update the template name in the Content tab.
- Add product recommendations: Navigate to the Data tab to include relevant product recommendations that will enhance the personalization of your email.
- Set a subject line: Craft a compelling subject line that will grab your audience's attention right from the inbox.
- Include a preheader (optional): Adding a preheader provides a sneak peek of your email's content and can increase open rates.
- Save the template: Remember to save your template after making these changes to ensure all updates are captured.
Note
For your first prompt, the Template Assistant applies default settings from the AI Assistant Admin page. If you'd like to change these settings, please prompt the assistant to override them.
Example:
Imagine the default font is Roboto with a blue background, but you'd like to adjust the font, color, and layout. Here's how you can prompt the assistant:
- "Replace Roboto with Arial."
- "Change the background color to light gray (#F4F4F4)."
- "Create a 2-column layout with an image on the left and text on the right."
