Tracked Segments are segments for which Blueshift will compute audience size regularly without them needing to be part of active Campaigns or Syndications. Audience Trend reports allow you to visualize the segment membership trends for Tracked segments.
Tracking a segment
In order to mark a Segment as a tracked segment click on the Track segment button on the top right of the Segment Builder screen. Once you confirm you will see the tracking as active on that segment on the Segment Builder screen. The membership is computed once in 24 hours for each tracked segment.
You can stop tracking a Segment by just clicking the Stop tracking option within the Segment Builder screen. Once you stop tracking a segment, Blueshift will stop auto-computing the audience size of the segment unless it is part of an active Campaign or Syndication.
Note
By default, all Blueshift accounts can track up to 10 segments. These tracked segments are in addition to the segments whose membership is automatically calculated when used in an active Campaign or Syndication. Membership for segments associated with active Campaigns or Syndications is computed only while they remain active. Once a segment is removed from a Campaign or Syndication, its membership will no longer be calculated unless it is explicitly tracked.
Any tracked segment will appear with Tracked Segment column value as Yes on the Segment Index page in Blueshift
