Add and edit customer profiles

Blueshift supports multiple ways of importing customers and customer data. After you import customer data into your Blueshift account, Blueshift can easily build a 360 degree view of all your customers.

You can use the Blueshift UI to view the customer profile for a particular customer, add or edit a customer and to remove a customer.

View and edit customer profiles

To search for a particular customer and view the customer profile, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Customer Data > Attributes in the left navigation.
  2. Search for customers based on their attributes.

  3. Use the Actions menu or click on the customer to see the customer 360 profile.
  4. Click Edit customer to edit the customer profile.

Add a customer profile

To search for a particular customer and view the customer profile, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Customer Data > Attributes in the left navigation.
  2. Click +CUSTOMERS > New Customer.
  3. Add the details for the required customer identifiers.

  4. Click Add Customer.
  5. Add the details for the customer. You can also add details for any custom attributes you might have defined for your customers or add a new custom attribute.

  6. Click Save.

Remove a customer profile

When you edit the customer profile, you can either Forget the customer or Delete the customer.

Forget User

  • All personal data for the customer is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
  • Blueshift stops tracking the customer and the customer is excluded from all campaigns.
  • A forgotten user appears in search results but is listed as forgotten.
  • You can Unforget a forgotten user.

Delete User

  • All data for the customer is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
  • The customer does not appear in any search results.
  • If a customer that was deleted comes back to your platform, then the customer is tracked as a new customer.
